Goodbye 7610, hello Wildfire!

IMAG0031

time sure flies. you have been my phone for the last 4 years. ok, your exact age should be 5 years old since my sister handed you to me after a year of using.

you are the first camera phone that i have (albeit only 0.3mp) and loads of other functions which i never had before in my previous phones (think Bluetooth!). and yeah, you are one of the high-tech phone back then!

but of course, after years of wear and tear and and your ageing hardware/software/battery, you are now deemed obsolete.

for one, opening an sms takes almost forever. ok, it’s a bit exaggerated. but the last time i counted, it takes around 13 seconds.

imagine having to charge your battery twice a day and needed to plug in the charger to the phone if i needed to make a more-than-5-minutes call… that is a bit crazy. how many times have i changed your battery? twice or thrice?

now even my messaging tone has gone kaput…

GF had said i will be the last person she will call as i will not be able to make a long call (or even making a call) as your battery life is ridiculously short and i can’t even received sms notification.

my longest record of having you without plugging the charge on? 1 sms sent, 5 sms received and 1 2 minute call that i made before you completely ran out of juice.

but to be fair, i sure treated you rough over the years. it’s very obvious from the scratches and dents all over you body. i’ve dropped you so frequent that you’ve tasted all kinds of floor. the most will be tar road. i i even remember throwing you at the wall a few times as i was frustrated at other stuff. i’m very sorry about that…

alas, it was time for you to go. but i’m proud to have you as my phone for the past 4 years. there’s so many fond memories coming back to me when i was deleting some of the old sms (more than 2000 in it. that was one of the cause of the lag). again, sorry for not taking a good care of you over the years.

and now, you will have a good successor in the form of HTC Wildfire.

not to worry, he will take a good care of me. just like you do back then.

and yes, i will promise to take a good care of your successor too!
